what books would you take to a zombie-infested island

i watched the (horrible) new will smith movie - i am legend - this weekend and, though the movie was a disappointment, found myself wondering… what is the role of culture in a post-apocalyptic world? i love consuming culture and i wonder - if it’s clear that you’ll never contribute anything to culture (because the world has ended) is there still joy to be gained from the remnant cultural artifacts. i wondered because, obviously survival takes a primary role in such a scenario (or does it?/should it?), but, the character in this movie lives in a gorgeous home full of great art & books, however, all his time is spent trying to blast zombies and create zombie-curing medicines. anyway… it makes me think of the what-books/music/etc-would-you-take-to-a-deserted-island question.
