a great little flash ad for the navy… i love that the lawn guy’s name is slackwhacker77. i wonder if the navy really tried to register the AIM name slackwhacker01 and it was taken - how disappointing, though… the 77th slackwhacker may be an even bigger slackwhacker than the first. in that vein, i wonder if they exagerated the number of slackwhackers. it’s like a huge callout to all the non-navy amoungst us… such slackwhackers. though, despite the fact that he’s (i’m just guessing sex, here) is a slackwhacker he has apparently considered the navy before (“you should reconsider…”) and has a billowing American flag as his buddy icon. I also love the fact that the navy fellow’s handle is Mike-el-angelo19. Suggesting, both that there are fewer Michaelangelos than slackwhackers (I won’t argue) and that the modern day Michaelangelos can be found in the navy… wasn’t Michaelangelo a pacifist? It’s also a nice play on the spanish, Mike The Angel, to get the American hispanic population to step up and represent their adopted country.  (I won’t suggest they’ve thought this far, but 19 is also prime, whereas 77 is composite, evoking the elemental nature of the Navy.) psWhat is a slackwhacker? Is it a slacker who whacks or one who whacks slack? If it’s the latter, it doesn’t sound unambitious.
