When it blows it blows.
The region I live in has a few different winds. There is a nice cool wind that comes from the west, over the mountains, and is refreshing and invigorating. There’s also a wind that comes from Africa in the south which is called the vento garbino. This is the wind we’ve been having the past week and it’s like sticking your face in front of an open oven. I’ve seriously never experienced a wind like this; one which makes you cringe as it blows it’s hot breath all over your body. I’ve never experienced a more withering wind…I cringe when I feel it stirring up. Delightfully, it also brings sand and dust with it, so the whole town is covered in a layer of fine grit. So, as it bakes your skin it blows grime into your eyes. Oh the Joys!
